I don't know where that last person ate, but it was most certainly not the mcginnis Irish pub I know! This place is incredible! It's inside a beautiful 3 story building with amazing wrap around porches and outdoor dining area! And that's just on the outside! On the inside there are numerous private dining rooms for anything from small business parties to 250 person weddings. The pub and dining area in the basement is my dinning room of choice tho! Thisplace is a beer lover and whisky conosours paradise! The food has something for everyone and I've never ever had a bad meal there!!! The staff is fun, friendly and very attentive to my needs (almost predicting them) with extra napkins, drinka refills, and great suggestions on entree choices! This is a place I'm proud to bring my family, friends, coworkers, and out of state business clients!! There reubens are BY FAR the best I've ever had and you can't go wrong on the weekends with their special featured entrees , appitizers, and occacionally desserts! (If you even have room after the drinks, daily special soups, appetizers and good portion sizes) YOU SIMPLY GOTTA TRY THIS PLACE! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

My husband and I actually had a chance to go out to dinner without any of the three kids tonight. A first in over a year. A friend of his at work highly recommended McGinnis' for their great food and service so having never been there decided to give it a try. I have to say that I left Very disappointed. The waitress was, in my opinion, rude and added to a less than wonderful dining experience. After placing our drink orders and receiving those along with a dirty glass, we had ordered our "Share-ables" and our meals. The "Share-ables" were wonderful, besides the dirty plate. Then we waited at least 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. In the mean time the waitress came over and asked my husband if he would like another beer. He said yes and she turned and started to walk away. I had spoke up and said, I would like another as well. My husband ordered the fish dinner and I had ordered the Dublin Lawyer along with a bowl of the potato soup which ended up being a cup of soup although we ended up paying for a bowl. My linguine was under cooked and tasteless. After having our meal in front of us for 20 minutes, the waitress finally came over and asked if it was good. As soon as my husband answered yes, she turned and walked away not waiting for my reply. We did not see her stop at our table again until she brought the check. After tonights experience, I'm not sure I'm willing to spend another $80 on a sub par meal and take the chance on another, if not the same, sub par waitress. Very disappointed. I would say, if you are going to try a meal here, stick with deep fried items. They are hard to screw up.
