I, along with my wife, sister and cousin, recently visited this restaurant for dinner with three others. Prior to ordering we told the waitress (she was new) that we had a restaurant.com coupon to which she said, ok, that's fine.
We ordered steak dinners and started off with appetizers and salads. After about 3 or 4 bites of my salad I found what appeared to be a paper napkin in the salad. I asked the waitress to have the owner come to the table. After about 10 minutes nobody came so I asked again and was told he was busy at the moment! I suggested she tell him to make it a priority and after another several minutes someone else (not the owner) came to the table. I told this person about the napkin and showed it to her. She replied that this couldn't be possible as she had made the salad herself. I asked what that meant and she said it wouldn't be the first time someone said something like that!! At about that time the owner came and insisted that a napkin in the food was impossible because they didn't use napkins in the kitchen. I asked if he was insinuating that I put it there to which he said yes, I suppose I am. When I asked him to re-state that position he backed down but very aggressively maintained it was not their fault -- in fact insinuating that it was mine. At that point he said we could leave, he didn't need the hassle. Right when he'd said that the waitress arrived with our dinners and he had her return them to the kitchen and we left. No apologies, no offer to simply replace the salad, nothing even close to representing service!!
My wife thought they might have been upset that we were using a coupon and really didn't want to serve us but that seemed unlikely to me. Later when she was looking for other complaints on .com, sure enough there was one with the same thought.
Needless to say, we will NEVER go back to this restaurant and thought you'd like to hear the unbelievable story. We are local to Mercer, have eaten at this restaurant before and in fact organized a class reunion there a couple of years ago. NEVER AGAIN!!

The service was horrible. They were actually out of most of what was on the menu. We ordered steak, at a place that has more than 5 steaks on the menu and they were out!! the chicken was rubbery and our waitress was as smart as a box of rox. Will never go back, waste of $60.
My husband ordered ribs. It was $`16 for 5 ribs! and the sauce was watery .
