This is the worst experience with any restaurant I have ever experienced. Do not order delivery from this establishment.
I ordered delivery from China Dragon yesterday and my girlfriend and I proceeded to starve waiting for over an hour and a half for them to drive the food the four blocks to my apartment. I literally could have walked there in two to three minutes.
About an hour in I tried to call to cancel the order to just get food from somewhere else, but the woman told me the food was on the way and hung up on me as soon as I said I was calling about a delivery order I placed.
I had placed the order online and tipped generously when I placed the order, so when we finally got the food about an hour and 40 minutes after placing the order I called China Dragon to cancel the tip, as you can imagine--I wasn't pleased with the service.
I was completely calm and respectful in my call, and yet the woman who answered argued with, yelled at and berated me. She refused to cancel the tip, she said I would have to contact online, but refused to give me an email, number, or explain further, and instead yelled and hung up on me. I called back to attempt to get the number but again she yelled loudly, insulted and hung up. I was completely calm and collected through all of this and simply asked for the number.
Upon calling a third time - no answer. This went on for several attempts, and then a man answered. I calmly and respectfully asked how I might cancel the generous tip I had given for the poor service. Different person, but more of the same. Yelling, berating and insulting. It was disgusting. This is the least professional and most disrespectful establishment. Horrendous customer service.
Then the food: Well, as you can imagine, it was cold on delivery. Not only that, but it was very bad. Although I knew I would never do business with China Dragon ever again by any circumstance, I did give it a chance. However, it was just so bad. The fried rice was the worst I've ever encountered and the orange chicken was just terrible. My girlfriend had the broccoli and shrimp, which was nothing special.
I never did get the tip back, and instead came here so that others might learn from my experience. The food honestly made me sick - physically ill. And I'm not being biased from the terrible customer service either.
There are tons of asian food choices in State College - take my advice and stay away from this dump. Horrible hospitality and horrible food - just terrible people from my experience.
If you want good asian food try Hunan Wok & Okinawa, they are cheaper, much better food and much better service - delivery usually takes about 10 minutes and they are much further from me than China Dragon. Maki Yaki is also very good. Even Uncle Chen's has better asian food.
Order/Eat at China Dragon at your own risk. You have been warned.
