This once shining gem of a restaurant has sadly list its sparkle. I have been dining at the Back Porch for 25 years, and my last 3 experiences have been poor. Gone from the menu is their lobster bisque. Gone is maple walnut salmon, lobster, any kind of crab dish, surf and turf. Replaced with items that tasted as if they had been warmed up and were yesterday's leftovers. The mushroom pasta was cold. The added shrimp lacked a char. The General Tso cauliflower looked and tasted like it was served from a frozen bag of same from Costcos. The added salmon was blah. No searing, no spice, no flavor. The 2 rolls that were once a basket of homemade muffins, breads and crunchy breadsticks, were even a Pillsbury failure.
We ordered. 2 entrees (Mushroom Pasta with added Shrimp and General Tso cauliflower with added salmon) NO STEAK. Shared one appetizer. And my friend had one class of Sangria. Bill presented $110. Would gladly pay that at Luchessi's, Capitol Grill, etc. ​ in addition to the poor quality, when the server asked me how I liked it, and I told her I was dissapointed.....she argued with me! So shocked was I that I said....IT WAS DELICIOUS! It was also, sadly, my last time at The Back Porch. Lead, follow or get out. The 2023 Back Porch should decide which to choose.

The food is definitely NOT worth the $$$$$ they charge...wouldn't go back
