Had some fantastic breakfast and coffee at the Beacon recently, with friendly staff and great service that made the whole experience enjoyable. Tried their chicken pot pie and pot roast specials for dinner-both generous portions with tasty flavors-and honestly, it's way better than those typical chain diners nearby.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast and excellent service at the Beacon last week and definitely plan on returning, with a diverse menu and generous portions it's a great choice for a meal.

Breakfast ,again was terribly greasy, I used 3 paper towels to suck up all the grease off my homefries and eggs. Then when I was done there was a hugh puddle of cooking oil or grease, what ever they cook it in. I cannot understand why they saturate there food like they do, there is no reason for this. We eat there 1 time a year and it always sucked.WHAT A SHAME, Tamaqua has no good breakfast diners. I live a mile from the beacon and I doubt if I will ever go back!

Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and the quality of it. Their hot sandwiches, burgers, and fries are excellent. I order take-out for lunch from them several times a week.

VERY OVERPRICED in general. CLOSES TOO EARLY.
Everything I have ordered was very good; but it is not a place I would frequent for dinner, as I consider it to be overpriced.
