Was new to Altoona for short business trip from Erie. Looking for a place near the Courtyard Marriott after a long day and stopped in.
Really friendly team from the time I walked in, they know how to make you feel welcome.
My phone battery discharged and my hosts even charged it up for me.
Last but not least...the shrimp and mussel dinner was A+
Way to go Bella Italia:)

Long wait...and not good food at all..save your time...pizza sauce horrible..asked for anchovy pizza..well 1 anchovy spread over pie..looks like corn meal used to give its crust some crunch

Food is good and authentic. All fresh ingredients and wait staff is very good and attentive. We have eaten there 5-6 time and never had a bad meal. Order may take a little longer than usual but hat is because the food is cooked fresh...not in advance. One of the best if not the best in the area.

I'm sorry you had to wait for your food to be done sir. I must tell you and others that Bella Italia Pizza is NOT a frenzied. Your food as well as everyone else is made from scratch to order. Again sorry for your wait.

The restaurant seemed nice and smelled very good the room is spacious and clean and the food was pretty good but the service definitely lacked as it took a good while for us to even be asked what we wanted to drink let alone waiting to make an order. If the food wasn't as good as it is we would not come back and still may just stick to orders to go from now on.
