I'm a long time resident of the area who favors this long time in the area Chinese restaurant. I've been eating here since its first location in the old Park Ridge Shopping Center. It's a favorite with locals for it's good cooking and friendly staff. If you are a regular, or even an occasional patron, they remember you well and treat you with high regard - always a hearty welcome. This goes a long way with me in a town with lots of ethnic food choices, many of which are pretty darn good, but with lousy service.
This is not high cuisine such as you might find in China Town, but the food is varied and tasty, with generous portions. Like many Chinese restaurants they serve fried noodles in bowls on the table while you wait. Addicting! The egg rolls are sublime. I rarely choose the okay buffet, preferring to order from the menu, or better yet, ask what's good that day. Many, many times I've ended up with a custom cooked plate of noodles, dumplings, or a pork dish that's not on the menu. Don't be afraid to ask for something you don't see. If they have the ingredients, they will make it for you.
Eating in? Order a Mai Tai, grab a bowl of noodles, munch on dumplings and take in the local scene. Ordering out? Check it out! They have a drive through window from back in the day when the building was a Fidelity Bank. You have to call ahead, but just ask to pick up your food at the window. Enjoy this old favorite where you are treated like a guest.
