Best food in Waynesburg and the surrounding areas.

I heard the owner tell a waitress that she shouldn't focus on us because we didn't look like we tip well. I have heard the owners swearing at their employees. Not a good place to relax and chat with friends

Thought I'd treat myself to a great meal today. I had heard so many wonderful things about Hotrods House of BBq in Waynesburg. So off I went. First, while getting parked in the unkempt parking lot across the street, an unattended, parked Chevy Avalanche began to slide towards me through the lot. Thankfully, it stopped and I moved to the street to park. I went into the restaurant, sat at the bar and ordered the BBQ sampler, substituting the chicken wings for the chicken breast. My order arrived in a timely fashion and I was off, on my way home to enjoy my feast. WELL. Anxious as I was I opened my ToGo container and winced. 2 small pieces of spare rib, 4 tiny slices of skinless boneless chicken breast and NO BRISKET. My sides were complete. So, extremely frustrated at my first experience there I called to complain. I eventually got to talk to Stephanie (manager?? , Don't know) who didn't seem to believe me that my order was short a portion of meat. She never did apologize for the mistake in my order and took offense when I questioned the portion sizes. Definitely a person that could use interpersonal/business management classes. I will never understand why someone in customer service would speak the way she spoke. She talked to me as if I was lying about my missing meat and offended when I questioned the portion sizes when I stated that I only got 4 slices of breast as my wing replacement.

What a disappointing experience

I used to work at Hot Rods and the owners are terrible rude and unprofessional. They find it appropriate to drink on the job and treat their staff like dirt. They have no problem stealing servers tips and hitting on employees and making sexual advances. The food is okay but it's not worth eating when your service will be slow and the owners will be rude. Honestly, I wouldn't ever go there nor will I suggest someone go there.

The food is mediocre, and the service is horrible and extremely slow. At one time, the food was a lot better, but as they're grown, it's taken a drastic downhill slide. The servers are forgetful, and the place is understaffed. The owner is rude to all but a select few of his customers. I used to eat here a lot, but I'm not going back again.

We came with 10 people and the OWNER informed us that we would have to sit apart. When we asked if we could wait to sit together, the OWNER told us he didn't care what we did. He did it with attitude. He also uses FOWL FOWL language and tells the waitresses who to be nice to and who isn't worth it.

The service was really bad. The food was okay, but it was cold. Will try again in a few months.

Honey Barbeque sandwich was amazing. And Mac n Cheese Bites was perfect addition. Also a huge fan of the Buffalo Chicken Salad.

I liked Groovys better. It's ok, not much variety. Getting tired of the BBQ, but I will still go there.

My fav. spot in Wbg., why spend the money on a value meals somewhere when you can pay the same price for these sandwiches. Try a burger with blue cheese and bacon or request the 409 Greek Chicken Wrap (chicken, blue cheese, red bell peppers, black olives, with the sweet BBQ sauce). Larger meals for supper, Spareribs, baby-backs, 1/2 chickens. They have a kids menu too, my child likes the macaroni wedges and wife likes the whole wings served with chips. I eat there at minimum once a week, more when i get my economic stimulus check from Obama.

Great food, great service. They do have delivery with curtious delivery staff. They also have Friday specials that are always a treat! During lunch hour, you may find a line waiting to order, but it moves quick and the kitchen folks get the food out quickly.
