Every time I visit for a concert nearby, the Ugly Oyster delivers consistently delicious American food, including phenomenal wings and a tasty chicken cheesesteak, paired with a great selection of beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with friendly staff who go above and beyond-like the time our waitress chased us down after we left to return a forgotten credit card. I appreciate the classic Irish pub vibe, reasonable prices, and attentive service that make it the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

As I stepped into the familiar warmth of the "Ugly Oyster," I felt a sense of comfort wash over me, knowing that a satisfying meal awaited. The inviting ambience and attentive service added to the anticipation of indulging in the American fare and diverse beer selection. With each visit, the Ugly Oyster never fails to deliver a memorable dining experience, making it a cherished spot in Reading that I look forward to returning to time and time again.

I used to love coming to this place just because of the nice beer list....... until I got a to go box for my sandwich and when I opened it there was a dead cockroach smashed to the top of the lid. Gross!!!! When I called the owner to tell him he apologized but when my husband tried to call him a 2nd time he ignored his calls. Great service, he is lucky I didn't call the health inspectors. I can not stomach going back here again.
