Rather sad when the best restaurant in the Schuylkill Haven area is McDonalds. Not the greatest food for lunch or dinner but it's always served fresh. As for breakfast, one cannot find anything better than one or two Egg McMuffins, made with fresh eggs and Canadian bacon. The coffee? Superior to any in the Haven area or, for that matter, in all of Schuylkill County except for another McDonalds. Yeah - I know, the Nutty Pear has better food. But the prices for that food makes one think you are upper Manhattan instead of in Schuylkill County. Final gripe about the Nutty Pear: You can bring your own wine but then are charged a $15.00 "corking charge!" My guess is that if McDonalds ever added a bar to a few restaurants in their fast food chain, customers would be banging down the doors.
