06/07/2017 - Super Buffet Fan
I miss this place, seriously the absolute best place to grab a meal, for such an amazing price. My favorites were the pepper steak appetizer, and the buttered seafood, mixed with egg drop soup, and some chili sauce from the green bottle.
08/30/2015 - the WORST chinese restaurant
HORRIBLE food. i went to the buffet last night with my boyfriend & a neighbor friend. the three of us realize that it's a low-rent type of chinese restaurant but were pretty disappointed even with low expectactions. i selected a little (very little) bit of everything from the buffet just to get a sample of what was good or not. i thought i couldn't go wrong with including some shrimp & sushi, along with pork, chicken, & beef samples. the cooked shrimp that was covered in any type of breading/coating, turned out to be the tiniest piece hiding among the coating (not even a full shrimp body?) & what shrimp did exist it was SALTY & TASTELESS shimp. the peel-shrimp was THE WORST i've ever had. it didn't have any taste at all ... as if it was rubber (?). i thought the spring rolls would be a sure thing but they were soft/soggy & tasteless & with mostly a breading type of interior stuffing (not veggies or meat??). even the "fresh fruit" was low quality.we asked for the tea in a kettle that is *normally* free with other chinese restaurant buffets but they charged us three dollars. when i asked if we could get a refill of the kettle the lady took the kettle, refilled it with hot water, but put in USED OLD TEA BAGS !! it turned out to be basically "hot water" with barely any hint of anything other than water. thanks Super Buffet. the only good thing about the buffet was the wonton noodle in the wonton soup (it was not better than other chinese restaurants, but it's really hard to go wrong with wonton noodles). the only problem with that is that there were two noodles in a vat of BROTH. also, i can also usually ignore wait staff when i'm at a restaurant buffet but the young woman at the front desk is NOT friendly or pleasant at all.i felt sick after eating at the buffet ... needless to say that i'm NEVER going back. there's a chinese take-out/eat-in restaurant in evans city that's 15 minutes away that is at least neutral experience compared to this hot-mess of a chinese buffet . that's where i'll go for lower priced chinese next time i get the craving for chinese food...HORRIBLE food. i went to the buffet last night with my boyfriend & a neighbor friend. the three of us realize that it's a low-rent type of chinese restaurant but were pretty disappointed even with low expectactions. i selected a little (very little) bit of everything from the buffet just to get a sample of what was good or not. i thought i couldn't go wrong with including shrimp & sushi. the cooked shrimp that was covered in any type of breading/coating, turned out to be the tiniest piece hiding among the coating (not even a full shrimp body?) & what shrimp did exist it was SALTY & TASTELESS shimp. the peel-shrimp was THE WORST i've ever had. it didn't have any taste at all ... as if it was rubber (?). i thought the spring rolls would be a sure thing but they were soft/soggy & tasteless & with mostly a breading type of interior stuffing (not veggies or meat??). even the "fresh fruit" was low quality.we asked for the tea in a kettle that is *normally* free with other chinese restaurants buffet but they charged us three dollars. when i asked if we could get a refill of the kettle the lady took the kettle, refilled it with hot water, but put in USED OLD TEA BAGS !! it turned out to be basically "hot water" with barely any hint of anything other than water. thanks Super Buffet. the only good thing about the buffet was the wonton noodle in the wonton soup (it was not better than other chinese restaurants, but it's really hard to go wrong with wonton noodles). the only problem with that is that there were two noodles in a vat of BROTH. i can also usually ignore wait staff when i'm at a restaurant buffet but the young woman at the front desk is NOT friendly or pleasant at all. the aftermath wasn't pleasant either as i felt sick before i even finished eating at the buffet ... needless to say that i'm NEVER going back. there's a chinese take-out/eat-in restaurant in evans city that's 15 minutes away that is at least neutral experience compared to this hot-mess of a chinese buffet . that's where i'll go for lower priced chinese next time i get the craving for chinese food...
