06/01/2025 - Linsey M.
Went with a big crew and enjoyed a lively dim sum feast with carts rolling by nonstop, though the classics like siu mai and har gow seemed a bit shy in their appearances. The pork/chive potstickers and baked red bean buns stole the show for me, even if the soup dumplings played hard to eat without a spoon. Philly's Chinatown dim sum tries hard but my heart (and stomach) still belong to Sang Kee in Wynnewood, especially after hunting down egg tarts elsewhere when they mysteriously disappeared here!

Went out with a big group today and had a decent time, but dim sum in Philly Chinatown just doesn't compare to San Francisco's! I still believe Sang Kee Asian Bistro in Wynnewood serves the best dim sum around here, so that's where I'll stick to. The carts were constantly moving, but I wished some of the classic items like siu mai and har gow came around more often.
