My husband and I love eating at this amazing bistro. It is hard to get a reservation because they do a lot of outside catering, but thats ok with us..ITS WORTH THE WAIT!! Thursday nights the chef/owner brews his own beer and actually gives it to you to compliment his menu!!! The service is excellent as well, the wait staff is very attentive! Def worth the wait!!!

One of the coolest spots in the city. They turned a corner row home into a great French BYOB restaurant. The setting gives you the feel of eating in a friend’s dining room. The place is family owned and operated, which adds to the ambiance. Everything I've tried on the menu is really good, if I had to pick a favorite it'd be the Rack of Lamb. Thursday night is a fun night to go, you get to enjoy the chef's homemade beer with dinner (he gives it to you free because he doesn't have a license to sell it.)

One draw back about the place is that they are also a catering business (they do all the events at the Morris Arboretum), which means they're not always open. Definitely call ahead and make reservations.

My boyfriend and I love cozy byo's in Philadelphia and have had many wonderful experiences, in fact I haven't had a bad time yet! Until last week. I have been dying to try Terrace Bistro for 3 years since I have moved to Manayunk. It has always proven to be difficult to get a reservation but that just raised the anticipation. One month ago my wonderful boyfriend was able to make a reservation for my birthday on November 9th, A WHOLE MONTH IN ADVANCE. He kept the location of my birthday dinner a surprise until that day and when I found out where we were going I was beyond excited. While we were walking to the Bistro my boyfriend informed me that the woman that took the reservation in october said that they would be serving free in house beer and that it was the first weekend that they were open for the season. Needless to say I was getting more and more excited with each step. We were making our way and the usual romantic lighting couldn't be seen from the end of the block. We started joking saying "what if this place isn't even open". Then we got there and the joke was on us. Not only were they completely closed that night but we were never given a call to let us know that we not going to have a dinner plan. My boyfriend ,of course furious, made numerous phone calls that week, none of which were returned. They finally called back the following Monday and left a voicemail that was the rudest thing I have ever heard. They sarcastically stated "we are reeeeeeally sorry" "we had a another engagement and your name must have been looked over" he THEN said "it's not like it's the end of the world there are a lot of other restaurants around that you could have gone too" WHAT? I have never been treated so horribly from a place that I had such high hopes about. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS, APPARENTLY THEY DON'T NEED CUSTOMERS!
