The Tavern offers a cozy and upscale casual dining experience with standout dishes like the classic patty melt on toasted rye, an outstanding double cheeseburger, and a memorable coconut cream pie reminiscent of homemade comfort. Guests can browse an extensive and unique wine selection next door, enjoy expertly crafted cocktails, and savor generous charcuterie boards that pair perfectly with their meals. The attentive and friendly staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for both casual bar bites and relaxed dinners.

The old Tarbell's Tavern we knew and loved has been revamped. Many fav items, like the pork stew, are gone and others have shrunk in size w higher price tag. Some items no longer on the menu can be ordered from the restaurant, like the salmon. Even their famous coconut pie has changed - sweeter w no salt flakes. The seating area is much smaller now but I assume that is a temp pandemic situation. The wine is consistently good. Hope it works for them. We may try it once more in a few months but maybe not. There are other great choices in the area. Two disappointments in 2 months is enough for a while.
