Hands down the best restaurant in Downtown Mesa! Fantastic eats, welcoming atmosphere, wonderful service! The Chili Relleno is absolutely mouth watering. And you can't beat the prices!

I will be 68 in August, I have been eating at el charro (the fancy one) and el charrito ( family one with solid bar) since I was 4 y.o. we drove from our small farm by the P.I.R. Raceway to Mesa. My dad would order for the 4 of us. Cheese enchiladas and shredded beef tacos for kids, green chili burros for parents. And 2 dozen green chili burros to go. Even though I have eaten there almost 1,000 times I never get tired of THE BEST Mexican Food.Eat here!

My whole family is soooo darn happy to hear that EL Charro was opening up. Even if it is for take out. I tell you that their buttered tortillas are to die for. And the rest of their food is delicious as well. Thanks EL Charro for opening up again.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 50 years. It i the best. I hope that I heard right when they said they were going to opene today at 5:00. I will be there. Please say it is tue and not another dream.

First ate there in 1965. It has been consistently great since then. They feature burros, not burritos. Margs are wonderful.

Have had Mexican Food all over the south west...Have dined at El Charro since the early seventies and there is no place better
