Anyone dissing these wings has never been to Buffalo, NY. So, they are not up to that standard, but definitely the best wings in Tempe or Phoenix I've had in 4 years. They were crispy (although I had to ask for them that way because they normally a little underdone for my taste), like they should be, and doused with a very good original hot sauce. The price of $23.65 for 50 wings is not bad either. I went back a second time to try the pizza, and was again impressed. It's not the best in town for sure, but very reasonably priced, and conveniently located. I would recommend Long Wong's on Apache to anyone. Go see for yourself.

After hearing Long Wong's would re-open in Tempe, I was very excited, because the wings were the best in the valley and the happy hour prices helped make the Long Wong's on Mill a classic.
The new location totally tries to claim continuing provenance and association and proclaims "WE'RE BACK" and "since 1980." Well I've got news for you: The wings are NOT WORTHY of being associated with Long Wong's by a long shot!! They're scrawny, dinky, overcooked and overpriced!!! Don't fall for the hype, and don't think that any photo associated with a write-up or actual venue website portrays a hint of the kind of wings you'll be getting!!
I was thoroughly insulted by these wings and the carrot presentation -- a meager fraction of a handful of thinly sliced carrots unceremoniously plopped onto my table INSIDE A ZIPLOCK BAGGIE.... REALLY??!! Yes, really.
And at the full price of $6.50 and no break during happy hour, this is an insult trifecta!
This place should hang its head in shame!
However I did spy a decent-looking pizza at one table and a thick chicken quesedilla at a neighboring table, and appetizers get happy hour prices.
Pints are 2-for-1 during happy hour, but the only decent beer is the Shock Top Belgian white. I guess they're not expecting anyone with taste to drop in.
The staff is friendly and mindful, nothing against them.
This place thinks that we're all knee-jerk sheep and will flock on over because of the name, but this place has a long way to go before it's worthy of associating itself with the legendary Long Wong's name!

This location has been slated to open for the past 3 months. I'm convinced it will never open.
