This is in reply to SHANK. I have seen 20 year olds at Mothers STUFFING THEIR FACE. I have seen every age STUFFING THEIR FACE, WHY because the food is GREAT, I weight 134 lbs at 5.5,1/2 my weight max for my height is 144. Its called EXCERCISE then eating what i want- not being Anorexic. Do i eat there all the time NO. But you obviously LOVE eating there. Typical Negative WHINER. Stay Away go find another place that suits your FINE DINING PALATE. No Doubt you eat alone. Who would put up with you?

If you like down-home, calorie laden meals, this is the place for you. Healthwise, you might try their vegetable beef soup, which is really good. If you like traditional pie, go for the blueberry which may even have lard in the crust; the ice cream is an after thought. Really, check out the BMI of the over-50 folks stuffing their faces , and you decide for more --not less-- salad. That said, there's nothing very health conscious at My Mother's, which is probably just fine with the neighbors from this area of Phoenix.

the spaghetti is good would be better if it were angel hair pasta. You will eat it all weather or not you prefer thinner spaghetti because the sauce is the boss.

This restaurant is absolutely excellent. The food and service is excellent. The prices are most reasonable for the portions served. Their pies are delicious and they give generous slices. Salad bar is excellent also. An old family style restaurant.
