02/13/2022 - Elixir Experience is to DIE for
Last night I was lucky enough to get on the list for the Raven's Manor Elixir Experience and wow, what an amazing time! This is a fully immersive experience that fleshes out (ha ha) the narrative backstory of Dr. Raven, his forays into necromancy, and the fêtes he hosted at the Manor to fuel his diabolical research. The experience starts with a mystery room experience where the evening's guests work as a team to find clues to open up a secret room and sample some of the Doctor's special concoctions. After enjoying the libation (4 options to choose from), the groups move to the laboratory to work on their own research, which are 2 signature elixirs. You're provided a grimoire of recipes, ingredients, and the Doctor's daughter oversees your creations. This was super fun, and makes you fully appreciate the bartenders of the establishment because some of the recipes are a little tricky and require some patience. All our drinks were delicious, and you get 3 drinks included with your admission fee. There's the option to order from the menu following the experience and enjoy some food and additional drinks. The actors of the experience are fantastic and the show and interactivity makes for a fun evening. During our experience, a guest from another party made a foul scene and tried to ruin the whole thing, but the staff handled it with grace and professionalism and we all had a great time regardless of the person's shenanigans. We met some cool people and had a really delightful evening. Pro Tip: If you order the Blood of Your Enemies, you *also* get a chance to scream out your frustrations, which is itself worth the money. Second pro tip: The Grilled Cheese of Doom and tomato soup is so good your tongue will slap your forehead to get another taste. For a fun, creepy, interactive night, don't miss Dr. Raven's Elixir Experience. I know I'll be back again!
