04/02/2011 - John Reynolds
Ate here on 4/1/11. A couple of surprises: Menu completely changed from that shown on their web site. Very limited selection, a higher price range. Their comment was that their webmaster hadn’t had time to re-work the site.
The 25% “Mandatory Gratuity” for groups over 7 wasn’t mentioned until the check arrived, not shown on the menu. They did back that out of the bill when I mentioned this. (Yes, a tip was still left, however I do believe that a customer should be made aware of this type of policy before ordering. Particularly when the required percentage is higher than typical.)
Food tasted good, serving were small for the price. Steak was not prepared as ordered, vastly overdone on one order, underdone on another. (No they hadn’t swapped the plates, no one ordered “bloody”) The 12.00 hamburger one person had was crispy on the outside. (Crispy – polite euphemism for burned)
Ice for water would have been a nice touch. Atmosphere could best be described as loud.
With the quantity of better quality restaurants in this area, we likely won’t be back.
