Growing up in this neighborhood, I've always seen this local bar but never ventured inside until Easter Weekend when my boyfriend wanted to catch a game. Walking in as one of the few people of color initially felt daunting, but the warm welcome from the bartender and owner quickly put me at ease. The atmosphere may be reminiscent of a bygone era, but the genuine interactions and strong drinks make it a favorite spot to unwind with friends after a night out.
