The owner is obnoxious and rude! How this place stays in business is a mystery to me. Place is filthy!

There are too many good sandwich places in RI, for this place to somehow still be in business. The owner "Butch" is rude and unprofessional. We walked in, hearing him telling a customer that "the guy in the jeep parked like a real a**hole"... I have a jeep, and parked in a legal spot in front of the door. It seems like I was in one of his "regular" customer's spot... Because a car had tried to squeeze up right to my bumper, and then after giving up, moved to the other side of the street... Regardless of hearing the tail end of this, and choosing to take the high road and to not walk out, we ordered a sandwich to split. I specifically said no hot peppers, and for here. He packed it to go. I asked him if he had cut it in half (as we were splitting a sandwich, and I couldn't see if he had done so because he incorrectly packaged it to go), and he stopped what he was doing, stuck both his hands out to his sides and glared at me. So I did the exact same thing back to him, and said, "well I can't see the sandwich so did you?". I paid, he said nothing else, and I took it to go, to get out of the dilapidated building...
And by the way, the sandwich did have hot peppers on it! Again, there are too many good places to go, to grab a bite, then to have to put up with this Cavone!!

I would not eat here ever again. The place is dirty, there is food left out all over the counters and display cases).
Food items that were in refrigerator deli cases were not covered.
Meat, Vegetable and Cheese calzones are in an unrefrigerated deli case.
Door to outside was open and bugs were flying in and out. Also experienced some REAL BAD customer service.... An older lady (60's) was paying for her food and asked if they had put a fork in her bag, the owner looked at her and said "I have done this a few times". When the lady left I said to him that he should not talk to customers like that and he stated to me that "he was the owner and he would do what every he wanted and he had owned the business for 35 years" I then went to say something else and he completely shut me down and said mind my own business. I told him I would certainly not be coming back (I have been going there for about 8 years) and he said well do what ever you want to do! There are far better places to go and spend my money then return and support bad behavior.
