My husband & I along with our son visited Lelizabeths last night for dinner and we were very pleasantly suprised!!
OK yes the prices are a little high, but HELLO you are in Providence. And the food is fresh and homemade.
My husband loved the pesto lasagna, and my crab dish was very tasty as well.
We found the atmosphere cozy and Shawn & Erica warm and friendly and felt like our business was truly appreciated.
We will be back!

Espresso Martini $18.00
Strawberry Martini $18.00
Cheesecake $12.50
Trifle $12.50
And here's the kicker... They no longer accept credit cards! Priceless!
So, to recap: mediocre drinks at out outrageous unpublished prices, poor quality desserts (again with the outrageous unpublished prices), and pretty poor service from waitstaff who were clearly bored because the place was empty.
It doesn't seem like ripping people off is really working out for them either. They can't afford to accept credit cards, and it appears that they can't afford to keep their website up either (it seems to have come down 6/5/08... you can find the cached version on Google...). In this economy you don't have to be a fortune teller to see an empty store front in their future.
I'm still unhappy about being ripped off, but really I feel bad for L' Elizabeth knowing that they haven't got much time left.

everything here is WAY, WAY, WAY overpriced, to the point where it feels like you're being scammed. the wine is pure crap, $5-a-giant-bottle stuff, and costs $10 a glass! $15 for a martini made with well alcohol, major rip-off.
the atmosphere is nice, but when the place is busy you'll probably be sitting next to a 35-year old couple agressively kissing and fondling each other, which is kind of gross and weird, especially if you're on a date.

way too pricey. not worth it. atmosphere is tired , with run-down, riped couches
