Love the place and my 91 year old mom's favorite hang out for a glass of wine! Only place to get Shepard's Pie right around here. And for the flies in the alcohol person, we've held three events upstairs and everyone was a joy, NO Bugs were invited. Also, if you really drink Jameson's, you should know how to spell it.
Great little spot, sometimes you do wait so enjoy the time with whomever you are with!!

Flies in our drinks and food that made me sick.
I have visited O'Rourke's Bar and Grill, in Cranston, RI several times and the food is always been subpar, once they actually replaced the food and claimed the on-duty chef had just left for the day and it was the last thing he made that's probably why the food was bad. What an Fing joke.
But more important on Sunday October 7, 2012 some friends rented the upstairs banquet area for their 30th wedding anniversary and the food was horrible and for some reason they do not cover their bottles of liquor and all of our drinks had flies.
Health Code requires all liquor bottles must be covered at night to prevent flies from contaminating the liquor.
We continue to send the drinks back after finding the bugs mixed in our drinks and was very disappointed in the fact that they did not shut down that bar and inspect all of the bottles but only continue to serve us drinks with bugs until I asked them to open a new bottle of Jamisons.
I personally got sick in the middle of night not sure if it was the food or the bugs in the drinks.
The food was some sort of mystery meat on a stick that was tough, unseasoned and barely edible. Then there were some dried out chicken wings that tasted like they were sitting around all day that they threw some sauce on and tried to pass them off as fresh. The only thing that was edible out of all the banquet food was the nachos they make with potato chips.
If they cannot follow simple health code regulations for the bar I can only wonder what health code violations there are with the food preparation.
I will never return to O'Rourke's Bar and Grill, in Cranston, RI and I contacted the health department about the issue.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! On a beautiful fall night the place is packed including the outdoor seating area and there is ONE waitress working the whole place! Took forever to order and get our food!! Food is ok....not worth the wait though. Too bad. Great spot.

I give it 2 stars because the outdoor seating was nice and the appetizers, that we received an hour and a half after ordering were pretty good. Besides that it was horrible. I don't think the host or waitresses had ever worked in a restaurant before. People around us were asking for there food to go, some had been there 3 hours!!! It wasn't even that busy. I would never go again. I think the good reviews were from friends/family.

We enjoy the pub. We did have a bad experience with a bartender several months ago, but we came back for the first time last night for a drink and had exceptional service from the two waitresses. They were fun, timely and professional. The Nachos are good, but originally i remember them being garnished with shredded corned beef. That is no longer the case, but they are still good. The entertainment is always good, last nigh being exceptional.
We highly recommend this pub.

I go to O'rourke's often because they have amazing entertainment (especially when The Coppola Sister's Band is there), great food and friendly service. Best bar around!

Love the fish and chips! Nice , local feel to the place. Food is consistently good. They can get busy on the weekends and they could do a better job taking names for seating! All in all, a lot of fun!
We especially enjoy listening to Tom Lanigan play his special brand of Irish music!!!

cant wait to go back everything was perfect,this place has got the biggest toilet ive ever seen,upstairs the perfect venue for a party or just chillin and the best paddys day ive spent was in o rourkes until aug 2010

if you read the comment from before about the fist fights and what not. ignore it. its a bar. sometimes your gonna see fights go down. im a very picky person, and the waitstaff and bartenders are very good and the food is even better. i would HIGLY recommend to visit this place

I come here often because this place has something very special to offer. The staff is incredible and I always enjoy my time here. I've been coming consistently for over a year and not once have I had poor service or seen a fist fight. I would highly recommend this place especially on Saturday nights. The music scene is great!

The waitress not only gave us extremely poor service all night. She the proceeded to give our table away while we were in the bathroom to a group of very rude and rowdy 20-somethings that tried to start a fist fight with us when we wanted to sit back down. She did not apologize or try to diffuse the situation. I will never go to this establishment again. If you are looking for a nice place to relax, steer clear. If you like being harrassed and getting into fights with punk kids, then this is the place for you.

great place to have a drink or two and either watch the sports on one of several screens, talk to people visiting from all over, or enjoy a meal and good wine or beer with a special person or a group of friends. i especially think that jimmy, behind the bar, is a great man and a special character. Cheers!

The staff are wonderful and the food is great! I was somewhat disappointed that there wasn't a more authentic Irish feel about the place. It could use a bit more decorative touches to make one feel as if they were in an Irish pub! Lovely view and great location in a beautiful village. Great service, my beer was alwyas full!

The nachos are fabulous and a wonderful value. If sharing with only one other person ask for a half order, it is plenty! Entertainment is good, Cora has a great voice and is very social with the patrons. The service staff is not always on the top of their game. We have found this to be on two or three occasions. The bartender on the other hand was excellent!

I really enjoy this restaurant for eating, drinking, and socializing. However, the staff are awful. They are not friendly, nor do they know how to wait on tables (never clearing plates or being attentive). The Mangers are wonderful, if they wait on you. Dont be discouraged...it may be that I am in my twenties and younger staff does not care about pleasing customers my age! See for yourself!

My wife and I enjoy O'Rourke's food, location, atmosphere, staff, and patrons. Not only are the staff friendly, but the patrons are engaging and very friendly also. It makes for a great night out.

Great casual place - can see the boats outside and enjoy some good pub food. Fish and Chips are great. Really enjoy the neihborhood atmosphere. Friendly staff.
