Our second visit on October 31st was horrible to say the least. After waiting approximately ten minutes, we were greeted by our waitress. We informed her that we were a military family and inquired about the discount. She then stated that we would receive 10%. We explained that our previous visit (which was just a few months back) allowed 50%. She went on to say that the staff person that serviced us was probably new and they have never given 50% off. We explained that the discount was given during a recent visit. She then stated, “I can give you 25% but not 50%. We explained that we had driven from the city for the food and the 50% military discount. She stated, “You drove down here for 50%" ? We then requested a manager however the owner came to speak with us. We explained our concerns about the discount. The owner then questioned the military personnel asking if he was active duty. She finally stated very rudely, "I'll give you the 50%; I’m not going to argue with you (as she walked way).

The waitress then returned asking to take our orders. I stated to the waitress (manager) that the service was much better during our previous visit. I went on to say that the owner's demeanor was inexcusable and told the waitress that she had a poor attitude as well. I mentioned that they have questioned military personnel as if he was on the interrogation stand. She stated, "Well if we give you 50% than you would tell all of your friends and pretty soon we would be giving 50% to everyone."

This establishment is poorly managed. Due to the staff's lack of professionalism and disrespect to military personnel we will not return.

We've lived here for a little over a month and we've been to Jumbo's like a dozen times!! It is SO good! The atmosphere is laid back, the service is great, the prices are reasonable and the steak sandwich is to die for!!
