Very Very good food. They are reasonable. Nice people that work there. I like they have different sizes of dinners. There portions are big.

I heard the crab rangoons were off the chain. I thought they were just okay. Maybe I went in with too high of an expectation. The egg rolls were very nice. P.S. Don't judge me because I wrote off the chain.

Good, hot, tasty food at a grea price. Some of the staff have limited English but do well with orders. Quaint, small town atmosphere. If you don't mind a multi-racial experience in staff and customer's then this is the place to go. In 8 yrs we have never been treated unprofessional or had a bad meal.

I had a #5 with egg drop soup. This was the only good thing about my first experience at the House of China on Laketon Ave in Muskegon, Mi.

The service was poor. I asked the waitress her name, first telling her that i didnt want to call her "hey" or "exceuse me". She said "just call me "Miss..i've heard it all in this town".
Awaiting my food to be served, i noted she chatted with what must be regulars or friends. As she arrived with my meal, she carefully dropped it on the table and without so much as a "enjoy your meal" she turned around walking to the regulars table. I thought, maybe she's having bad day, but was quickly dissolved as she laughted and talked about the weather with the other table. Did I mention I had to "ask" for the soup that "comes with the meal"?

Throughout my meal, not once was I asked to re-fill my drink or how is everything? As I finished with the signaling of placing my napkin on my plate, I waited for her to pay attention and tab me out. She approach the table and said how was everything? and without waiting for an answer she turned around to leave. I stopped her and asked are re-fills free? she said yes, would you like one? I said no, Id like to speak to a manager. She appeared a bit startled at my request and said she could help me, but I refused as I wanted to speak with a manager.

Upon approaching, I asked the manager if she spoke/understood English. She replied, with two fingers in a pinching position, very little. I asked that the waitress be present also. As I expressed my experience, the manager seemed to understand that I was upset with the service of the waitress. As I paid my bill and prepared to leave, the manager brought out a bag of fresh crabragoon and insisted I take them. I turned them away, as a show of discontentment that was not to be pacified with free food. I hope she understood that I meant to disrespect to her, but as to remain firm in my position and desire for the waitress to be addressed.

Let me state that I am an African man, the only African there at the time, and the regulars where Caucasian males. Im sure this had little to do with the matter and I did not raise it as an issue in the restaurant. HoweverIve been this complexion all my life.

Thank you for reading
