This building dates back to 1874, though it has only operated as a tavern since the 1940s and underwent a name change before becoming Goldie's Saloon. I've visited a few times to watch sports events like the NCAA championship and the Daytona 500, enjoying the classic dive bar atmosphere with solid food offerings such as fish and chips and burgers. The service is attentive, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the setting provides a nostalgic, unpretentious environment that contrasts with the typical chain restaurants nearby.

I tried Goldie's for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised by its historical charm and cozy dive bar atmosphere. The fish and chips were delicious, with generous portions of fresh cod and crispy fries, although the cole slaw was not to my liking. The service was attentive, and the well-priced drinks during happy hour made for a great visit.
