Detroit Shrimp & Fish catered my resident party for 100 guests, providing delicious food and impeccable service. The area was well-organized, the employees were friendly, and the chicken wings and fish were the best I've had in a long time. The cornmeal shrimp was a favorite, and I'll be sure to recommend this place to others visiting the area.

Will not respond to phone calls especially on weekends. Either needs more compentant workers or to close. When called the phone rings a number of times THEN goes to a busy signal. Obviously kids are working and owner's are not concerned about complaints. The lodge store doesn't appear to have that problem. At least they answer the phone!!! Don't no how Southfield stays in business.

It's true, the owner and her daughter are childish and do not care one hoot about good customer service. Several people I've referred have stopped going because of the poor service.There use to be a male owner who was great! Don't know what happened to him. Most of the other workers are fair to okay.

Most of the time the fish is great. However, it really depends on who's frying that day. The previous reviews are right on about the shrimp cooked in batter, not good. The shrimp are great and like home made when ordered cooked in cornmeal. They always take at least 10-20 minutes longer than the time they quote on the phone. Still gave two stars because it is the best fish in Southfield!

I called ahead and ordered a shrimp dinner. I was told 15-20 minutes, I arrived in 20 minutes and still had to wait 15 more minutes. The shrimp had way too much batter and appeared to be cooked in old grease. They could have cooked another pound of shrimp with the excess batter. The fries were okay, but also greasy. They lost a good customer tonight.

The worst service I have ever encountered in my life!!!! The manager is childish and does not need to be running any type of business. After calling in my order this has happened on more than one occasion. I posted the bad service on Face Book and a lot of my friends have had similar service at all of their locations.

this was the first time we had ever tried this place on the way to Beaumont in Royal oak. Loved their cod dinner. Service was great and if you don't want to wait just call in your order ahead of time.
