Mario's had a very appealing ad, however we visited last Tuesday and I can assure you - the lobster was not nearly the size depicted in the ad. It was a tad larger than a crayfish. It also came with one (ONE) golf ball sized redskin potato and 1/3 of an ear of corn on the cob. I fully understand that with the price being so affordable, it may not be the biggest dinner but what we received was comical. We would have much rather paid more and received a full dinner and not what we were actually served. We took photos because no one would believe that's what we received. We asked for lobster shell crackers (ON LOBSTER DAY) because even a small lobster claw is hard to break, and we were told there were none. How does a restaurant promote lobster and cannot offer lobster crackers? I ordered lasagna and while it didn't taste badly, I received a huge plate full of marinara sauce with the smallest 4"x4" square of lasagna. We even ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, and for 12.00 we received 6-7 shrimp barely bigger than salad shrimp (31-40 per lb.). They were too small to arrange around a glass, they were just lying on a piece of lettuce on a plate. To say the least, for a restaurant that's been in business for 70+ years we were shocked that at 6-7pm there were only 4 to 5 tables of patrons. After we received our orders, we understood a bit better. We certainly won't be returning and we will not recommend anyone else spend 71.00 to visit this restaurant only to leave and still have to pick up takeout on the way home. Very disappointing.
