Went on a Sunday from Flat Rock (after church time), line was long but moved fast. Short Ribs, Mac & Cheese and Black-eye Peas were off the chain. Collards were extremely tasty, just a pinch too salty. Who ever is cooking the "CRUMBLY" cornbread needs to be reassigned. I will go back again. Amazing menu.

I have been frequenting Motor City Soul for several years. Yes the lines are frequently long especially on Sundays but the wait is worth it.
You do get what you pay for and more!
Kudos to Motor City Soul Detroit's own!!!!!

I went there to see what was the big deal about their food. I was disappointed because everything I was interested in they was out plus the line move very slow. The person who was fixing my plates try to put very Little in the containers, that really pissed me off, but i just said, to myself I will be going back to (Lady Luisa's on west mcnicholas, lease they ask is your Plate to your liking), that was awesome. I felt this place get a lot of business so they do not have to please customers, from their point of view. Also when there a lot of Blacks involve that is the way things work...

A VERY NICE ELEGANT RESTAURANT. I LIVE NEARLY 2 HOURS AWAY. AND I GO THERE SOMETIMES AFTER CHURCH IN DETROIT. AND I ENJOY THE FOOD. I MET WITH THE OWNER IN PERSON SHE IS A VERY NICE LADY. HER RESTAURANT HAS REALLY PROSPERED. SHE IS BLESSED BY GOD. HER EMPLOYEES ARE VERY NICE TO.GREAT HOSPITALITY THERE.MOTOR CITY IS THE BEST. MOTOR CITY HAS A VARIETY OF FOODS TO CHOOSE FROM. I WOULD GIVE THEM 100 STARS. 5 IS NOT ENOUGH. (TO THE OWNER(S) AND HER STAFFS. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. I CAN SEE THAT THE LORD IS REALLY BLESSING THIS RESTAURANT. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS. FROM CATHERINE T. (MISS SAGINAW.) THIS IS WHAT THE OWNER CALLS ME. WITH MUCH LOVE.
