Have gone to one on Woodward/ Royal Oak twice. First time, long wait for food, but was good. Portions a little small but ok. Second time, left after waiting close to 40 min for our food (quite simple order.) Place was busy but still had few open tables. 40+ minute wait for pancakes unacceptable.

THE OWNER is the rudest person I've ever came in contact with in all my years of eating at a restaurant. I've been going to Zoe's for a while now, I found them to have a shorter wait time than The Original House of Pancakes (my FAVORITE breakfast place). My family and I have always had great service and treatment until today. The server clearly misunderstood something very simple about a order of pancakes for my daughter. Before bringing out food she realized she hadn't brought out our coffee after we had been waiting for 15 minutes for it. However, the OWNER came out and was very RUDE and disrespectful about the server mistake. I told him to bring the pancakes back out bcuz that was obviously his problem (the fact that I didn't want ALL these pancakes that was put in by his server). I explained to him that I've never had that type of experience there and would NOT be returning, his response was "good, you don't have to come back". He never apologized for the mistake the server made. Oh and not to mention the server NEVER came back after giving us our food to see if we needed anything. My prayer is that he does better as a business owner bcuz that business could quickly be taken away from him.!

The manager/owner is about the rudest person I have met. Beware if you have any food issues and must order things specific. They will get it wrong, and if you question them they will yell at you, berate you, and ask you not to come back. On top of that, when you get sick as a result, they don't even ask how you are, or try to find out what happened. This is NOT a place to be serving gluten free pancakes. Peoples health and lives are at stake. DON'T THEY KNOW THAT CROSS CONTAMINATION CAN BE DEADLY? The least they can do is look into the issue and try to correct it for the next customer rather than yell at the one that got sick. Not a person that should be in the restaurant business in my opinion. MY ADVISE IS TO STAY AWAY AND FIND ANOTHER PLACE FOR PANCAKES. THIS RESTAURANT OWNER DOESN'T DESERVE THE BUSINESS IF THAT IS HOW HE TREATS CUSTOMERS. DANGEROUS PLACE TO EAT!!!!!

Overpriced.... The apple pancake is nothing like the Original House of Pancakes.
