I was bummed to hear that Double Play in San Francisco closed, but given the current situation in the city, it's not surprising. The restaurant has a lot of history tied to the old Seals baseball stadium and the decor reflects that with plenty of baseball memorabilia on the walls. Even though the bar removed its booths a while back, I used to enjoy going there for lunch when I worked at the old Hamm's Brewery building.
