While once a great neighbourhood destination for decent Italian food, the Bar Italia is now in a sharp decline. The once personable service is now replaced with uninterested and flat out lazy staff, barely capable of taking an order…., good luck should you want a drink with your meal, and good luck getting the meal you ordered. Once solid staples like stuffed peppers are now over cooked rock hard disasters… pasta noodles are also frequently cooked to a variety of textures… Anyway it’s a shame that this once reliable eatery is loosing it’s touch, I hope it turns a corner for the better.

My friends and I dined on the patio last night. We went into the restaurant in error and it wad tge filthiest place I have ever seen. I was so happy ti be able to go outside. Of the food was goid I would gate to ser what bad food is. I had the Penne with the italian sausage and my friend had the spaghetti. We shared a Ceasar salad and would love to have it again but would never dine indoors until it's clean.

Last evening eight of us had dinner on your outside patio. It was a beautiful evening but my husband and I were very disappointed with the food. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was so thin and hard that you wouldn’t know if you were chewing a crouton or a piece of the chicken. …..and you charged 18 dollars!!! I was expecting something more edible. You would have been better off buying a box of Jane’s Chicken nuggets and throwing a few on top.
My husband ordered the calamari, shrimp and clam pasta. There were very few pieces of calamari, four shrimp and no clams to be found. ….and 22 dollars.
Also Bar Italia….why blast the Mexican music. At least make it Italian.
