The smoky aroma and tender slices of meat on rye created a comforting and satisfying meal that lingered in my memory long after the last bite. The coleslaw's crisp freshness and the tangy mustard added layers of flavor that balanced the richness perfectly, while the friendly, attentive service made the experience all the more welcoming. Despite a few moments of hesitation comparing it to other pastrami I've known, the hearty portions and warm atmosphere made this a culinary discovery worth savoring.

Today I was in search of a good Jewish deli and I found Phil's. The pastrami was awesome and so was the Dijon mustard, but the sandwich was small (hardly any bread). They tried to make up for it with way too many french fries. The coleslaw was out of this world. It was cold inside the restaurant--maybe there are too many glass windows. Also, I was uncomfortable with the waitress hovering over me while I chose the amount of my tip during the credit card transaction, even though the service was good. I would go back--just not expecting more than this.
