My wife and I decided to have a meal at Danby's in Munster to top off what had been a wonderful day. We ordered drinks and our food ... then sat and waited almost an hour for our meal ... a simple pizza ... and when it finally arrived the top was burnt, almost charred, to a hard crisp. Looked awful. Practically had to saw through it. This was a Sunday night and the restaurant was definitely not busy. The server tried to excuse things by saying that there was a run on take-out orders but she'd have the kitchen start another one for us. We waited again. After a while it felt like we were forgotten and I didn't feel like waiting around for ... well ... who knows how long. We paid for our drinks and left. When I told the server I was really disappointed she asked us if we might want a gift certificate for the future; by this point I didn't feel like accepting just to return for more of the same down the road. I paid for our drinks and left. Bad service from this kitchen and I think the server could have been a bit more attentive. Not a great end to our day.
