It was our Anniversary and we had reservations for 2,arriving on time and stuck in a corner (table for 2). We were able to order our bottle of wine/and wild mushroom soup. It arrived 20 minutes later and our order was taken for steak and lobster (the most expensive entree on the menu) we waited and waited with the afro-american waiter telling us it will be there soon. 1 1/2hrs went by and still no dinner being 8:30 now. In the mean time 16 people (no reservations came in with all catering to their needs and forgetting our special occasion all together. We asked for our bill and had to pay with the excuse that the kitchen having problems. In reality we found out on departure that the waiter had not given them our order. The owner said :sorry about that", would you like to wait another 15-20 minutes and we will have your food to you. We chose to go else where with a very frustrating experience. We have supported this establishment for many years and were less than impressed with the tartiness, poor service, and no offer of restitution on our special day. Totally would not recommend this place for any special events. To make our day the owner might have offered to make it up to us as it was a special day for us and one we looked forwarded to.
He lost out on a few hundred dollars and a heathy tip had something been done to bring us back as customers. We departed and went to Joeys at Mayfield Com where we were serviced promptly, with professionalism and would go back in a heart beat. Food was fantastic and service number 1.
