Absolutely Awful. Went there just as it was to close. Said it would be 15 minutes so assumed I was getting freshly fried fish and chips. It was inedible.. batter was hard on the outside, soggy on the inside. Dark coloured., and the fries were soggy and burnt Truly horrible.

Glad I went there tonight, now I know where not to go for fish n’ chips! Unfortunately Your Fish and Chips was closed for holidays so I thought I would give Hammersley’s a shot. Not really sure if there was any fish in the batter and the fish that was there was 🤢 and the fries were burnt (maybe change the oil more often) save your money and try Wimpy’s.

Ordered 3 fish dinners...2 halibut & 1 haddock. There was a very small piece of haddock inside the batter. Did not enjoy our fish at all ... overpriced & overbattered. Even the coldslaw was expensive for the amount you got
When u walk in there is a lot of stuff/junk on the side which is very grungy looking. Will not be going back!!

Best fish and chip place in Elgin County so far. We have not been to them all but of the many we have this is the best.
Plenty of food for the price. We used to order two dinners but it was too much to finish. Now order a large dinner and share.
Still plenty of fish and chips. Crispy and tastes great. Reminds us of the old days when it used to be wrapped in newsprint.
Highly recommend this place.
