Yesterday was my first time dining at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and it certainly will not be my last. The service was amazing. Oliver, our chef, was a master at not only cooking our meals but entertaining our group in the process (we were there for a birthday party). Even before we went upstairs, the lounge area where we waited for the rest of our group was intimate and relaxing. It all happens upstairs though. It is quite the experience to sit at a bar height table in a U-shape formation with your dedicated chef cooking in front of you. The food was out of this world. From the soup to the vegetables to the steak and shrimp - it was perfectly made and everything tasted delicious. We were not rushed, we got to enjoy the show (i.e. the food preparation) and savor our meal course by course. The sauces were light but flavorful. The "fire" was pretty spectacular especially when our chef dimmed the lights over our section. There is parking garage a couple of doors up with ample parking. They take all forms of payment and gratuities are included. I made it to the second course before deciding that I have to come back again. When you're celebrating an event, such as my group was, the atmosphere and service definitely elevate it. Their bar menu is fairly extensive as are their non-alcoholic offerings. Dessert (ice cream) was light and palate cleansing - just perfect. I will definitely be back.
