YUMMY!!! Comfort food at its best, done fresh & homemade!

After hearing alot of amazing things about Charlotte Annes I decided to give it a try, & my only disappointment is that i did not try it sooner!
I went on my own & brought a book, my favourite way to dine. The atmosphere was comfy & quaint, perfect for relaxing with a book (at 3pm it was nice and quiet - very relaxing).

The waitress was very pleasant & helpful, & knowledgeable on the menu. She was more then happy to make suggestions and answer questions. I was happy to hear that majority of the ingredients are fresh (food being delivered a couple times a week to the restaurant), and the meals are homemade, done to order. Being a student, i was very happy about the great prices and generous servings.

The menu offered a wide variety of 'Canadian Food', with many options for Vegetarians and Vegans. I however am a meat lover and went for the homemade burger (Feta Bacon Burger - need i say more?!). First bite of that burger and I was %100 sure it was homemade! Very flavorful and great quality. The burger & caesar salad had a perfect amount of garlic in it for my taste, which I'm a garlic lover. I also got fries, which were tasty and fresh cut there. I love having the option of 'The Famous Half and Half' as my side - which is half fries and half salad (with many salad choices). Best of both worlds =D

For my drink i had the 'homemade iced tea', which was refreshing and perfectly sweetened. I've also been told that they have great coffee there, and many choices for tea including herbal teas. For beer drinkers there were signs for 'Mill St.' and 'Steamwhistle' on draft.

I will definitely be back, and highly recommend Charlotte Annes to everyone. I was too full to try any of the deserts, but they sounded mouth watering, and all made there from scratch. Next time I'm going to try one of there many great sounding salads, so i feel less guilty when i indulge in the 'Caramel Brownie Cheesecake'!
