A must-visit destination whenever we head up to Haliburton, offering reasonable prices and consistently good quality - with ample parking, an LCBO nearby, and a grocery store for any additional provisions you may need.

Went to Kinmount Fish and Chips for the first time on Friday night at around 6:15 pm. It was very busy. It took about 20 minutes or so to order because of the line up. We didn't get our food until after 7:30 pm! I understand that the food is cooked to order, but there were times when nothing was coming out for 10 or 15 minutes. The girl told us that there is only one fryer. I don't know if this is usual or if one is broken. It also didn't help that there were people (friends?) in the back of the restaurant getting food before the actual people who ordered it out front. The fish and chips were delicious, but I think our order got cheaped out of fries. They didn't come halfway up the box. Maybe because they only made so many and filled a couple of orders. I think that when you place an order when it's that busy, they should be able to tell you approximately how long it will take for your order. If I knew it was going to be more than an hour in the hot sun, I would have passed.
