My daughter and I where at the Upper Crust Cafe on Saturday night for a special evening the meal was part of the ticket price which was 80.00 approx per head. We both were so disappointed in the meal itself as the chicken I had ordered was dry and so tasteless as was the boiled rice, no sauce what so ever, this dish would have been ok had they put a light sauce on the side for the chicken and rice, vegetables were great and cooked very well. My daughter had the Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding, the meat itself was good but the yorkshire pudding she said was so hard outside and in that she could not eat it at all. Infact as we looked round the restaurant we saw many people had left the Yorkshire puddings,, this is not a hard dish to prepare but you have to certainly know the recipe inside and out. We felt the evening was totally dis-organised as we did not eat until nearly 8 p.m. when we had been there since 6.15 p.m.. The seating was terrible as there were far too many people in such a small space and there was very few windows to open for air, the seating arrangement was also messed up as there were no seats left for my daughter and I to be together, and the lady said well you can sit there by yourself and your daughter can sit over there by herself, fortunately this did not happen as she asked people to move over to accomodate us, overall a disappointed evening, but we will try it again for lunch to give them another go as we have heard such good reviews for this Cafe
