Sargent Sundae, a beloved local ice cream institution since 1984 located across from Assiniboine Park, offers rich, creamy hard ice cream with generous chunks of treats like brownies and cookie dough, reasonably priced portions, friendly staff who often hire and train local teenagers well, and though lines can be long and they only accept cash or debit, the variety and quality make it a delicious and nostalgic summer destination in Winnipeg.
