Best spot ever

Worst hot and sour soup ever; basically broth with a mushroom. I had wor wonton and had to pull veggies and meat out of my less than satisfactory dinner to put in the hot and sour broth. My partner ended up in the bathroom 20 minutes after eating. Not recommending take out as there’s no way to send it back once you get home. Won’t be eating here ever again.

Wow what a great experience. Service was terrific and food was to die for. I have been going to Fan Tan since 2000 and I'm never disappointed. The prices are completely comparable and the portions are enough that I go home with left overs. Over all very happy here and always have been.

Sadly I do not think I will be visiting Fan Tan Cafe for meals any more.. and it does make me sad because I have been going to this cafe since 1989 with my kids..
Consistently over the last 5 years the prices have gone up.. (that is to be expected) however, the value, nutrition, and presentation of the food has gone down..
Last night I looked forward to a lovely meal.. yet once again in the space of less than 3 months had a combination meal that was greasy, with almond chicken so overdone, that it was almost inedible..
My lovely waitress was so kind as to replace the chickem with a second serving.. yet it too was 'fried to bits as well'..
The young waitresses, Gemma.. Mikela.. and others are always a joy.. sadly the food is not..
On top of all this.. I barely got home last night before I felt sick to my stomach.. and continued to have stomach cramps and felt unwell all during the night..
Sad.. yet true
And so Fan Tan Cafe.. one of your long time customers is no more..
