During my visit to New Mina's, I dined at Kao Restaurant and enjoyed their buffet featuring a variety of delicious Chinese dishes. The only drawback was the absence of dessert options, which prevented me from giving it a perfect rating.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has good food but horrendous service. I placed an order for take our and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant to pick my order up 35 minutes later. When I arrived there were four others waiting for their orders too. I waited and I waited and I waited and I waited. Not once did any staff ask anyone waiting what their names were, or offered to check on their orders. I waited some more before finally deciding to leave after 40 more minutes waiting. My order was placed at 4:25pm and I left the restaurant, without my order at 5:39pm. Completely unacceptable! After I arrived home, I received a call from the restaurant stating that my order was ready an additional 35 minutes later. I told the woman, that I was not interested. I voiced my displeasure and specifically pointed out that not a single staff person said a word to anyone waiting or offered to check on our orders. There were no apologies or taking responsibility. Only excuses. I would suggest, if you are ordering takeout, place your order well in advance (more than 75 minutes). It is obviously, this restaurant is not interested in their customers, only their money. I will not be returning.

Booked a reservation for new year eve 2016 3-4 days before reservation for 6:00 pm. Was made to wait till 6;20
and would not give us a table reserved for 6:30 as they had made a mistake.They sat us down at two round tables for eight people and we had booked for thirteen.This was a family get together.With this said i know
thirteen people wont change this business, but placing walk ins over bookings is not good business.

The food and the experience were just amazing! The food was warm from when we got it from the buffet to even when we went back up for seconds! The grill was a great idea - it's delicious!

Went to the Kao Chinese restaurant in New Minas with some friends today.

Last time I was there was a little over a year ago. The food then was fantastic.

Today, it was an utter disappointment. Except for one dish i had that was fried pork, all the dishes in the buffet were pretty much tasteless. The sauces all came out like they had been watered down. The curried chicken tasted like someone has sprinkled a little curry in a pot full of water and poured it over the dish. The Cherry sauce for the chicken balls was just as bad.

Now their chicken wings, onion rings and anything that was deep fried seemed to be okay.

Two of us had had the fried pork dish and about 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant were were both loosing our lunches.

Now the service by the waiting staff was excellent, but after this very disappointing display of flavorless culinary talent, we will not be going back.
