I had the pleasure of dinning at Smitty's family Restaurant, either when I'm alone, with a friend or taking my daughter there., and i had to say each time i visit it is an amazing experience. The servers are friendly, and warm hearted, as well as knowledgeable in the food served. I even tried a few dishes i haven't tried before and loved it.

I always felt welcomed, comfortable, like eating at my mother's and it's become one of my dear favorite places to dine to.

Worst experience ever. They skipped our name on the list. Waited 25 to be seated. Finally got a table. Ordered coffee. It was full of coffee grounds. Had to wait forever to get fresh ones. Placed our order and was still waiting for our food a half hour later. So an hour waiting for brunch and still no food. Got up and walked out. Went to Macdonalds instead. First and last time going there. Terrible service!!!!!

We ate at the Mt. Pearl restaurant this evening, two seniors. We ordered from the Senior's menu. The food was ok , except for the turkey which was dry, probably cooked a few days ago. The service at the table was good. I was surprised when I got the bill and was charged for gravy I asked for on-the-side. After a brief discussion when I went to pay for the meal , the cashier took the charge for the gravy off the bill. Any extra charges should be explained up-front when the meal is ordered.
