Today was our first visit to Cora's. We went to the Brantford location. At 12:00 p.m. it was kind of quiet, maybe that should have been a clue.
The server was great, the food not so great. I have what I thought was a Crepomelet, spinach and cheese. The picture described it as an omelet wrapped in a crepe with filling served with toast, potatoes and fruit. The picture looked lovely and plentiful. When it came it was a large, very flate crepe with a slice of cantoloupe, a strawberry and a 1/2 piece of pineapple. For some reason my husband got my toast, there were no potatoes. When I said this is not what I ordered I was told that is what it looked like. If it had tasted good that would have been different. It was pretty tastless, chewy, and dry very overcooked. I tried one of my husband's blueberry pancakes which was overcooked and hard to cut, come on how do you mess up pancakes.
I guess this is what happens when you have line cooking and not an actual chef system. We waited over 20 minutes for our food and the place was not eve 1/3 full. Thank goodness for the nice waitress.
Would it have done any good to complain? I don't know I just know that I will not be going back to Cora's for the $35.00 worst breakfast in my life......and it was our anniversary too!
