Taj Mahal Sweets & Restaurant in Markham, run by a welcoming Afghan family, is currently closed due to nearby demolition. Once they reopen, their authentic, home-cooked Afghan dishes, especially the spicy fried fish and delightful barfis, are definitely worth trying. The samosas, with just the right amount of spice and filling, were a hit at a recent party, impressing everyone who tried them - I'll definitely be returning for more soon.
