The ice cream at MacKay's is delicious and served efficiently despite the crowds, with reasonable prices to boot. Their unique system of listing out the flavors is a clever touch that sets them apart from other ice cream shops. My favorite flavors were the rich coffee and indulgent salted caramel, though the barn floor and cheesecake were also tasty options to try. If you find yourself near Calgary, swinging by MacKay's Ice Cream is definitely worth the stop, especially if you're heading back from Banff without adding much time to your trip.
