We've been fortunate to enjoy their delicious food for over 2 decades but in 2013 their incredible Cook must have left the building and took his Mastery with him. A Sad Day.

Wow, normally I don't post on these things but in this case I just had to. My wife and I stopped going to New Golden City years ago because everything was tasteless and given in such small portions it was embarrassing on their part. We tried it again with new management and we also got similar items. The honey garlic ribs were fantastic and the cantonese chow mein had so many vegetables in it the lid was almost popping off. Although I agree the pork slices have a different taste than what we're used to in a chinese restaurant before, they were juicy and tasted amazing. So I have to ask...What are you talking about???!!! My wife and I are once again loyal customers to this restaurant and I have to say this sounds more like a friend of a local competitor talking crap than a customer that actually ate there. Sorry, had to be said.

we have been customers for four generations/40 years and while i understand that new owners like to put their own twist on the menu, we are greatly dissappointed with these changes. the wings are flavourless, the cantonese chow mein was greasy and lacking in vegetables, and the pork slices instead of the chicken was not a good choice. the chicken fried rice was tasteless and there were exactly 6 peices of chicken, farr less than in the past and there were no vegetables. the vegetable lo mein was also very greasy and there were so few vegetables you could hardly call it vegetable lo mein. The honey garlic ribs and the bbq pork slices were tasteless as well. i would like to see the menu returned to its previous glory. when you have a great thing you shouldn't mess with it.
