We had an amazing time at a cottage on the Rideau and were thrilled to try the pizza from Rideau Restaurant. The local striploin steak and chicken souvlaki were cooked to perfection, and everything we ordered was delicious, complemented by friendly service. After enjoying the scrumptious food, we couldn't resist going back for more, especially the standout combination pizza and desserts that were simply irresistible!

This restaurant offers mediocre American, deep fried foods, alongside pizza that is subpar. More toppings doesn't make a pizza better, it makes for uncooked veggies, soft meat"¦with the final product being a watery, sloppy pizza. The owners boast their large portions and "quality" food. They got rid of take out in the summer to try to lure patrons into dining on their "scenic" patio"¦.during a pandemic.
The owners do not adhere to covid-19 policies, and seem to think they are part of the judiciary, openly flaunting personal political views, as if they have any authority to review the constitution. They successfully sabotaged their reputation and business; they will blame it on covid-19, the lockdowns and the government"¦but they truly are at fault for their own demise. Yikes!

This place is amazing. Food is good, portions are huge. If you are planning on eating more than one piece of pizza, you sir, have a big appetite. Guaranteed you are getting a to go box. Will definitely visit this establishment again. Service was great.

When is this place open? The FB page shows 8a to 8p seven days a week. The reality seems to be weds thro Sun 4p to 8p. Even that seems arbitrary. Take out only on weds and Thurs. The reason for being open 16 hrs/wk is "short staffed". There is no sign in the window that they are actively looking for staff. Too bad. When was able to find them open, the food was good.

The food is great, but tried to order take out for 2 weeks and no one answers the phone, web says they are open.

Food was great but brutal service. We called at 515 and placed an order and they quoted the time - 550pm. We show up exactly on time and it's not ready. Extra 5 mins or so, no big deal. We had to wait 20 extra minutes with very hungry and cranky 3 and 5 year olds in the car. No real apology given for making us wait almost double the time quoted. Not like it was a Friday rush. It's a Wednesday.

We love his place from r breakfast. The prices are reasonable, the portions are large, and the potatoes are out of this world. I have never had poached eggs prepared so well in a restaurant. The service is great. It is worth the drive. My husband has had their pizza and he really enjoyed it.
