Halibut only makes an appearance on Good Friday, and while there's no dining in, the takeaway and delivery options make it easy to enjoy their flaky, non-greasy fish with perfectly crispy fries. The cozy, family-run joint hasn't changed much since the '80s, but the friendly owners, generous portions (hello, bonus fish!), and that unbeatable light batter keep me coming back again and again.

McCowan Fish & Chips serves up some seriously tasty halibut, especially on Good Friday, and their takeaway game is strong. The portions are generous, and the fish comes with a light, crispy batter that's not greasy at all. The friendly vibe from the owners makes every visit feel welcoming, and I've been hooked ever since my first order!
